Classic novel. According to Wikipedia: Love and Mr Lewisham is a 1900 novel by H. G. Wells, amongst his first outside the science fiction genre. Mr. Lewisham leaves the country to live in London. His youthful dreams of fame and glory slowly fade, replaced by the possibility of redemption through love. Mr. Lewisham attends Imperial College, London, known as the Normal School of Science. He becomes a socialist, declaring his politics with a red tie, and gets mixed up in the charlatan Spiritualism of the late Victorian age. Herbert George Wells (21 September 1866 – 13 August 1946) was an English author, now best known for his work in the science fiction genre. He was also a prolific writer in many other genres, including contemporary novels, history, politics and social commentary, even writing text books. Together with Jules Verne, Wells has been referred to as The Father of Science Fiction.
