Different traditions, beliefs, and practices surrounding death are common to all cultures and religions, and have resulted in conflict regarding anatomic dissections and postmortem examinations. This book discusses the issues and concerns of the public, with regards to the legal rulings of autopsy practices in the field of forensic medicine and Islamic teachings. The book discusses facts about forensic medicine, and Islamic rulings in dealing with the remains of Muslims. After observing various disasters such as missing flights and air crashes in Malaysia, it raised several vital questions, which have not been resolved in the context of forensic as well as in the purview of Islamic law. The specialty of this book lies in the writings of eminent experts from various disciplines, such as anatomy, forensic medicine and Islamic law, and the discussion of questions contributed by the students of dentistry on death and its investigation. Hopefully, this book will provide clear explanation with regards to deaths and their management in a more holistic approach under the purview of Islamic teachings.
