Footprints in the Sand, A life journey by Alan Steelman

I have endeavored to make this a very different book. I think I can say without any fear of contradiction, there has never been a book of poetry like this one. Each poem has a picture of what inspired me to write it, along with a short narrative on the event, place, or thing that created the underlying emotion it created. My mission, admittedly ambitious for an aspiring, not widely known poet simply stated, is to hopefully start a process of moving poetry back into the mainstream of American art and readership. Poets can make a bigger contribution to "making life bearable" for the average reader by writing about for this audience in a style that is easily understandable and digestible, and about topics that address the needs for this audience.
