The purpose is to reinvigorate the tales of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, but to give the characters a different aspect to that which is normally prescribed to them.

The intended audience are adults from 18 years old and over.

There are many levels to this, the first in the series, and the reader may choose to read the novel as a fairy story. However there are underlying narratives that are started in this book and carried through that are about the place of multiculturalism and religion in today's world.
