Synopsis

It's November 1987 in Scarborough, Ontario, and someone – or something – is killing off Tony Price's clients in the Silver Birch housing project. The community, already dysfunctional and violent, is terrified. Tony, a chain smoking, vodka soaked burnout, sets out to find the killer. Badgered by a skeptical Children's Aid worker and two relentless police detectives, he is running out of time. In a search that takes him from the darkest corners of Scarborough to Caracas and the Venezuelan outback, Tony discovers that he alone is capable of destroying the monster. From one of the most original indie writers publishing today, this novella can be described as urban fantasy and perhaps the first social work noir. Scarborough: Confidential, is a fast paced read for the discerning consumer of indie lit.
