Synopsis

Aemus Quin, former Inquisitor General of the Wehelian religion of the land of Chesehd, finds himself compelled to defend the prophetess Laena Keros, whose message will result in the destruction of h the very faith his life is built upon. His former disciple and now successor, Ignatis Luhn, has pledged to put the heretic woman to death by fire. Is God The One Who is Silent, as Quins faith holds, or is God now speaking through this beloved woman? Is a book of Gods words coming from another world? Does God indeed have a son, a God-man who died on the other world for the sin and failings of all sentient beings, or is that idea sheer, poisonous blasphemy? Are the miraculous healings of the common people who are following Laena Keros a confirmation of his Gods involvement, or merely an incredible deception fostered by the conjuring of an evil woman?
