Synopsis
Returning to the Amityville horror, Ed Warren explains the actual phenomena that happened to the Lutz family while living in the house. First, he describes the psychic cold throughout the entire house. No matter how many logs were thrown on the fire, the psychic cold kept the house icy cold. The family heard voices and whisperings. At night, lights would appear over their beds. One time, the parents ever found themselves levitating. There was slime on the staircase, something Ed Warren calls aports (?). These a ports are like cosmic sightings. That is, they appear to be present, but upon further inspection, are not physically present. A lot of these happenings would occur at three o’clock in the morning, an hour that is called the Devil’s hour as an insult to the Holy Trinity.
As stated in the first segment, many time the feelings of pain and suffering continue even after leaving the house. Father Pecoraro related a story to Ed Warren where he returned to his rectory and was in his room when, suddenly, the room became icy cold and voices were heard followed by the presence of a lizard-like creature.
The Warrens continue to explain photographs taken from inside the Amityville house. The first is a picture of Lorraine Warren taken with infrared film. In that picture there is another figure present; it is Padre Pio, a Franciscan priest to whom Lorraine was devoted and whose relic she was holding in her hand. He had died almost ten years prior, but a close friend of his identified him immediately. Another picture was taken in the upstairs bedroom, the room of one of the murdered boys. Here, one can observe a small boy’s face with bio-luminescent eyes. This was not the spirit of the young boy but was actually a diabolical spirit that appeared in the home to confuse investigators.
It was between the psychic hours of 9 PM to 6 AM that the manifestations occurred in the Amityville house. First, knockings would be heard; then, crying, sobbing, or hysterical laughter. Because these happenings only occurred during the dark hours, many people could enter the house during the daytime and never be affected by diabolical presences.
Ed and Lorraine Warren conclude the segment by stating that the Amityville case was the worst case they ever worked on. They have no doubt that the house was demonical and hope never to have a case like that again.
