This book is a collection of narratives written by 10 mothers and fathers of their experiences, emotional trajectory, and life-changing decisions as they adapted to their childs autism condition. The editor is the founder and president of an incorporated group devoted to advancing the welfare of adults with autism in the Philippines. It is the first of its kind from Filipinos and, as an anthology, is a rarity as well in the global, non-Filipino, literature on autism. The books main purposes are to share parents life stories and, in so doing, provide guidance to other autism families in ways of managing living with autism; and to raise awareness across wider society regarding the difficulties of living with autism in the family and the need for community and societal support. On the book cover is the painting Butterflies by a young adult with autism.
